Job summary

General Energy Management Systems in India seeks a data-driven Spare Parts Planning lead to manage Pan-India OM service network, coordinating Service Operations, State Offices, Warehouses, Procurement, Stores and Vendors to ensure the right part, at the right time and location.

You will drive monthly and quarterly planning, set stock parameters, forecast consumption, monitor ageing inventory, and create MIS and dashboards (Power BI) to quantify availability, forecast accuracy and open POs, while

Qualifications

• Experience in spare parts inventory planning and demand forecasting.
• Strong data analytics and numerical problem solving.
• Proficiency in Excel with experience in dashboards (Power BI preferred).
• Familiarity with ERP/inventory management systems such as SAP or Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop Pan-India spare-parts demand, replenishment and planning cycles.
• Prepare State Office-wise requirements using demand, consumption and base data.
• Set and review Minimum/Maximum Stock, Reorder Level and Safety Stock.
• Analyze breakdowns, maintenance, warranty trends to forecast consumption.
• Monitor stock-outs, excess and ageing inventory; suggest inter-location transfers.
• Coordinate with Procurement on planned purchases and supplier lead times.
• Maintain Critical Spare Parts List and contingency plans for long-lead items.
• Create MIS and dashboards covering availability, forecast vs actual, POs and risks.
• Drive standardisation of planning processes and data quality improvements.

Job Summary

Role Purpose Own centralized, data-driven spare-parts planning for GEMS Pan-India OM service network, covering both national demand and State Office-wise requirements. The role connects Service Operations, State Offices, Warehouses, Procurement, Stores and Vendors to ensure the right part, quantity, location and timing - while balancing service availability with inventory investment and working capital.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop the Pan-India spare-parts demand, replenishment and monthly / quarterly planning cycle.
• Prepare State Office-wise requirements using service demand, historical consumption, installed base, equipment criticality, lead times and inventory position.
• Set and periodically review Minimum Stock, Maximum Stock, Reorder Level and Safety Stock for critical and fast-moving parts.
• Analyse breakdown, preventive-maintenance, warranty / AMC and recurring-failure trends to forecast future spare consumption.
• Monitor stock-outs, excess, slow-moving, non-moving and ageing inventory; recommend inter-State / inter-location transfers.
• Coordinate with Procurement on planned and critical purchases, supplier lead times, open POs and expected deliveries.
• Maintain and monitor a Critical Spare Parts List and contingency plans for long-lead / business-critical components.
• Create management MIS and dashboards covering availability, consumption, forecast vs. actual, inventory health, open POs and service-impact risks.
• Drive planning-process standardisation and improve data quality, planning parameters and reporting through ERP / Excel / Power BI tools.
