Job summary

INFINX in Bengaluru seeks a NOC Network Engineer Level 2 to ensure security, high availability, and scalability of the enterprise network.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain distributed networks, collaborate with multiple teams, and provide Tier 2/3 IT Operations support, while helping design documentation and diagrams.

Strong skills in routing, firewalls, SD-WAN, and cybersecurity practices across Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto and Fortinet are required.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

Infinx NOC Network Engineer Level 2 is responsible for providing security, high-availability, performance, stability, and scalability for Client's complex and distributed enterprise-networking infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor enterprise network, server, and security infrastructure using NOC monitoring

tools.

• Works alongside the Client's Networking Team, Telecomm Team, Applications Support Team and System Administration Team to support, monitor, maintain and enhance production communications networks.
• Provides Tier 2 & 3 level support for IT Operations Teams.
• Interfaces with Service Provider Support Engineers to troubleshoot carrier circuit and routing issues.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 3 Engineering or vendors when required.
• Provides identification and troubleshooting of internal and external connectivity and communications problems.
• Provides design documentation and up-to-date network diagrams of the enterprise networks.
• Collaborates with Client's Cybersecurity Team to support and contribute to Client ITs Cybersecurity Program.
• Mentor and assist Level 1 NOC Technicians with technical troubleshooting and best practices.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, UDP, and Wi-Fi 802.11 protocols along with Static & Dynamic Routing principles.
• Experience Administering Cisco Routers/Switches/Firewalls, Juniper Networks

Routers/Switches/Firewalls, Palo-Alto Networks Firewalls using Panorama (including Wildfire Advanced Threat Capabilities) and FortiGate Firewalls using Forti Manager.

• Fundamental understanding of VPN (L2TP, SSL/TLS, IPSec).
• Fundamental understanding of DNS (including public domain name registration), DHCP.
• Understanding of Traffic Shaping and Policing techniques.
• Experience with Packet Capture/Tracing/Analysis.
• Fundamental understanding of network security best-practice and principles used to identify vulnerabilities and minimize risk.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies and micro segmentation tool a plus.
• Experience with Cloud Based VoIP/Hosted PBX/Hosted Contact Center platforms (Cisco Hosted PBX, Hosted Contact Center).
• Experience with Nedi, Cacti, Netflow, NFsen, Solarwind and Nagios/Icinga software.
• Unix/Linux skills.
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Powershell, VB) a plus.
• Ability to work remotely, collaborate with local hands to provide Layer-1 troubleshooting and assistance.
• Familiarity with typical tools and techniques for discovering, monitoring and evaluating cybersecurity risks.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills including speaking in front of others.
• Ability to communicate and educate complex technical topics via the written word.
• Ability to bring projects to completion.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• The above knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated by a two- or four-year degree in an IT
• Enterprise Networking related field, or with 3 to 5+ years’ experience supporting Enterprise Network
• Infrastructure within large, distributed and complex environments. Additional consideration offered for
• candidates possessing CCNA and/or CCNP (either/or Routing and Switching, Voice, Security) or JNCIAENT
• certifications.
