Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced NOC Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support 24x7 operations, cloud infrastructure monitoring, incident response, cloud networking, and operational excellence initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of cloud platforms through proactive monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud operations, cloud networking, observability platforms, infrastructure support, and incident management within a high-availability production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
• Respond to alerts and incidents following NOC SOPs, escalation procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Perform incident triage and troubleshooting for cloud and infrastructure-related incidents (P1-P4).
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, DNS, load balancing, and cloud networking issues across AWS and Azure environments.
• Support Major Incident Management (MIM) activities, bridge calls, escalation management, and service restoration efforts.
• Manage AWS operational services including EC2, VPC, Route 53, Security Groups, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, and cloud networking services.
• Support Azure infrastructure including Virtual Networks, NSGs, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Load Balancers, and platform services.
• Monitor cloud environments using Splunk, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Maintain accurate incident documentation, operational timelines, and stakeholder communications within ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.
• Support Linux and Windows server operations within cloud environments.
• Assist with Kubernetes (EKS) operational support, workload monitoring, and platform health checks.
• Support infrastructure automation, operational improvements, and repeatable processes using Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, and Python where applicable.
• Participate in RCA reviews, Problem Management, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Improve monitoring effectiveness through alert tuning, dashboard optimization, and observability enhancements.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to ensure service reliability and operational excellence.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and support global follow-the-sun operational models.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in NOC, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, Network Operations, SRE, or Infrastructure Support roles.
• Strong hands-on operational experience supporting AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience supporting cloud networking technologies including VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing tables, load balancers, DNS, VPNs, and security controls.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure monitoring and incident management processes.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent monitoring platforms.
• Experience handling incidents, escalations, and service restoration in 24x7 operational environments.
• Linux and Windows server administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding cloud storage, backup, recovery, and high-availability concepts.
• Working knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, or other cloud database services from an operational support perspective.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent ITSM platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within rotational shifts and global support models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Kubernetes (EKS) environments and containerised workloads.
• Working knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security monitoring, IAM, vulnerability management, and operational security best practices.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Site24x7.
• Understanding SRE practices, observability frameworks, and reliability engineering concepts.
• Experience in Healthcare Technology environments.
• HIPAA awareness and compliance knowledge.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
