Job summary

Availity is seeking a NOC Senior Engineer in Bangalore, India to lead a mature 24×7 Network Operations Center. You will manage incident management, cross-domain escalation, proactive monitoring maturation, and operational stability across network, server, cloud, and database platforms.

Responsibilities

Role

The NOC Senior Engineer is a senior, hands-on operations role focused on running a mature 24×7 Network Operations Center. This position manages advanced incident management, cross-domain technical escalation, proactive monitoring maturity, and operational stability across network, server, cloud, and database platforms. The role acts as the senior technical authority on shift and ensures disciplined NOC execution and follow-the-sun continuity.

Responsibilities

• Act as the L3 technical escalation point and senior authority for P1/P2 incidents.
• Lead real-time incident triage, stabilization, and restoration during major outages.
• Execute and enforce incident command practices, including ownership, timelines, and escalation control.
• Collaborate with Operations Center and Incident Managers during Major Incident Management (MIM).
• Ensure accurate, real-time updates and complete post-incident documentation in ITSM tools.
• Enforce adherence to NOC SOPs, runbooks, alert response standards, and escalation matrices.
• Own proactive monitoring across all infrastructure layers, identify alert noise, gaps, and false positives; drive tuning and threshold optimization.
• Improve dashboards, service health views, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze recurring incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
• Serve as the senior technical lead during assigned shifts and ensure effective shift handovers with global teams.
• Mentor L2 and junior engineers and drive cross-skilling to raise NOC technical maturity.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: 7–10 years in advanced NOC, SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Support roles. Demonstrated advanced skills in multi-cloud environments, automation, and incident management. Proven experience as a technical escalation point for complex, cross-domain issues. Experience operating in 24×7, follow-the-sun NOC environments.
• Technical Requirements:
  • Cloud Platforms: Advanced operational experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
  • Server Engineering: Expert Linux and Windows server administration, troubleshooting, patching, and performance analysis.
  • Network Engineering: VPC/VNet architecture, subnets, routing, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, security groups/NSGs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Database Operations: Cloud databases (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL); replication, failover, and availability concepts.
  • Kubernetes & Containers: Kubernetes (EKS), container orchestration, node/pod health, and workload stability.
  • Automation & IaC: Terraform-based changes and scripted remediations.
  • Observability & Tooling: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, Grafana/Prometheus, and ITSM tools (ServiceNow or Jira).
• Good to Have Skills: AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Kubernetes CKA, SRE/reliability engineering exposure, ITIL Foundation (preferred).
• Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), ITIL Foundation (preferred).

Shift Model

24×7 rotational shifts with structured handovers, overlap coverage, and escalation.
