Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Wireless Networking engineer in Hyderabad to configure, implement and troubleshoot Cisco WLCs and APs. You will manage deployments, perform site surveys and address complex wireless issues across enterprise environments.

The role requires deep understanding of 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, and security protocols, with hands-on experience in Ekahau and AirMagnet tooling. ITIL certification and Cisco credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco Wireless LAN components.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco WLCs and APs.
• Familiarity with Cisco Prime Infrastructure / DNA Center.

Responsabilités

• Configure, implement and troubleshoot Cisco WLC, APs and related wireless infrastructure.
• Manage installation and deployment of new Cisco Wireless Access Points.
• Troubleshoot wireless LAN issues and drive incident resolution.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance wireless network performance.
• Be prepared to work in 24x7 shifts and handle multiple priorities.

Role & responsibilities

1. Strong hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of
   1. Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Access Points (APs).
   2. Cisco Prime Infrastructure / DNA Center
   3. Cisco ISE, RADIUS/AAA, 802.1X authentication
2. Deep understanding of:
   1. Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
   2. RF fundamentals, modulation, interference, roaming
   3. Wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, EAP types)
   4. Site survey tools like Ekahau, AirMagnet.
3. Manage installation of the new Wireless Access Points (Cisco)
4. Manage Wireless LAN technical issues through resolution
5. Identify and implement improvements to enhance wireless network performance
6. Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts
7. Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities

Preferred candidate profile

1. Good Knowledge & Hands on experience on Cisco WLCs.
2. ITIL Certification.
3. Technical Certifications such as Cisco CCNP Enterprise Wireless, Cisco CWNA/CWNP and Ekahau ESS Certification.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Good communication and documentation skills.

Ability to lead during critical incidents.
