Job summary

Orange Business Services in Nagpur, India seeks an L2 Network Administrator responsible for enterprise switching, load balancing, and GSLB. You will administer, configure, monitor, and optimize network infrastructure across data centres to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

You'll configure Cisco Nexus switches, Radware/F5 load balancers, and implement GSLB with DNS-based failover. Ideal candidates have 5+ years experience, ITIL working knowledge, and strong troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switching (Cisco Nexus).

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus switches; VLANs, trunking, STP, VPC, EtherChannel, routing protocols.
• Manage Load Balancers (Radware, F5): virtual servers, pools, health monitors, iRules/policies, SSL offloading, NAT; perform upgrades and failover testing.
• Configure and manage GSLB for multi-site availability; monitor health checks and implement DNS-based traffic management.

Job description

We are looking for L2 resources, Skilled Network Administrator with hands‑on experience in enterprise switching, load balancing, and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) environments. The candidate will be responsible for administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance across data centres.

Key Responsibilities

Switching & Network Infrastructure

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise‑grade switches (Cisco Nexus) Perform VLAN configuration, trunking, STP, VPC, EtherChannel, and routing protocols management.
• Handle switch OS upgrades, patching, and firmware maintenance activities.
• Monitor network performance and resolve L2/L3 connectivity issues.
• Implement network changes as per standard change management procedures.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and inventory records.

Load Balancer Administration

• Configure and manage Load Balancers such as Radware and F5.
• Create and maintain Virtual Servers, Pools, Health Monitors, iRules/Policies, SSL offloading, and NAT configurations.
• Troubleshoot application accessibility and traffic distribution issues.
• Perform load balancer upgrades, backups, and failover testing.
• Coordinate with application teams during deployments and troubleshooting.

GSLB Administration

• Configure and manage GSLB solutions for multi‑site application availability and disaster recovery.
• Implement DNS‑based traffic management and site failover mechanisms.
• Monitor GSLB health checks and optimize traffic routing policies.
• Ensure business continuity through proper DR failover and failback procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Switching concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco Nexus switches.
• Experience in Load Balancer technologies.
• Good understanding of GSLB concepts and DR architecture.
• Knowledge of DNS, SSL, NAT, and High Availability configurations.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Any Graduation with 5+ years of experience.
• Certification preferred: CCNA / CCNP / PCNSA / PCNSC / F5 Certified.
• Experience in Data Centre operations environments.
• Knowledge of firewall and security concepts will be an added advantage.
