Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bangalore is hiring a Network Security Engineer to configure firewall devices and support secure deployments across the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with LAN/WAN teams, ensure connectivity approvals, and assist in capacity planning while following architectural designs and change-control processes.

The role requires hands-on firewall experience (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and a proactive approach to pre- and post-checks, ensuring successful delivery

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with at least two firewall platforms (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
• Experience with routing & switching, LAN/WAN, and network protocols such as EIGRP.

Responsibilities

• Firewall device configuration for projects.
• Raise changes with Change Management for implementation.
• Support the program/project manager with firewall implementation plans.
• Coordinate with LAN, WAN, Cyber Security for connectivity approvals.
• Work with Network Capacity Analyst to plan and manage demand/capacity.
• Implement firewall devices per LSEG Architecture & Design guidance.
• Perform pre-checks and post-checks for firewall implementations.
• Provide project support until OAT and handover to BAU.

Must-Have

• Hands on experience any 2 Firewalls (Checkpoint Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, Cisco ASA Firewall)

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

• Responsible for firewall device configuration
• Support in raising the changes along with Change Management team needed for implementation activities
• Support the Program Manager & Project Manager with the implementation plan needed for firewall devices
• Work closely with LAN, WAN, Cyber Security team on connectivity approvals
• Work closely with Network Capacity Analyst to plan and manage the demand and capacity
• Responsible for implementation of Firewall Device required for this program as specified by the LSEG Architect & Design Team
• Responsible for Pre-checks and post-checks needed for Firewall Implementation.

Project Support for firewall devices until OAT is completed and handed over to BAU
