Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned leader to run the operational core of its network organization from Gurugram, reporting to the Head of Network.

You will manage network functions and daily operations, own lifecycle management, and lead a distributed team across Canada, the US, and India to maintain uptime.

This role demands strong budgeting, forecasting, incident response, and hands-on experience with network intelligence tools and CMDB integration to accelerate recovery during outages.

• Experience with 24/7 critical network operations, monitoring, and incident response.
• Proven staff management experience with a distributed team.
• Experience with lifecycle management, budget, and forecasting.
• Familiarity with CMDB integration, compliance, and cloud management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational core of the network organization, reporting to the Head of Network.
• Manage network business functions and daily network operations.
• Oversee lifecycle management across network assets and services.
• Own financial forecasting and budget; approve invoices.
• Manage purchasing for Operations and Cloud, Access & Edge, and DC/Campus/Colo teams.
• Oversee CMDB integration and compliance and circuit management.
• Lead triage of daily alarms across the environment.
• Run the daily morning huddle to review open alarms.
• Administer network intelligence and monitoring systems.
• Administer the out-of-band management network.
• Participate in major changes to facilitate and log activity.
• Track and log outages.
• Provide engineers with intelligence-tool data during outages to speed recovery.
• Establish a follow-the-sun model with daily hand-off reporting and expanded triage coverage.
• Lead a distributed team across Canada, the US, and India, including internal staff, contracted engineers, and contracted remote-hands personnel.
