Job summary

Sonata Software seeks a Network Operations Engineer (L1) to monitor and support enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center environments in India.

The role focuses on first-line incident handling, basic troubleshooting, VLAN management, device upgrades, and maintaining runbooks and documentation, with collaboration with ISPs and internal teams.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification is mandatory.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge and routing & switching basics.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, Wireless networks.
• Experience with VLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in network monitoring and incident management.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking fundamentals.
• ISP coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center networks.
• Act as the first point of contact for network incidents and service requests.
• Perform L1 troubleshooting and resolve network issues within SLA.
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams as required.
• Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Monitor network alerts and maintain network availability.
• Perform VLAN assignments, change requests, and routine network administration tasks.
• Support network device upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain network documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Generate and review network performance and availability reports.
