Job summary

NTT America, Inc. in Mumbai seeks a Network Engineer to provide 1st level monitoring, fault handling, and SLA reporting. The role requires ITIL knowledge, basic routing/switching, and Cisco IOS familiarity.

You will work in a 24x7 shift, liaising with carriers and vendors to ensure uptime; responsibilities include fault finding, documentation, and adherence to established processes.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MCA with CCNA or equivalent certification.
• 2+ years in networking with hands-on routing, switching, and monitoring responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Cisco-based technologies and products; willingness for 24x7 shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st level network monitoring and fault escalation.
• Follow documented operational processes and incident management activities.
• Prepare SLA reports: uptime, bandwidth utilization, and device performance.
• Coordinate with carriers/vendors for fault resolution and changes.
• Maintain daily/weekly/quarterly interface and hardware reports.

Job description

Work Experience

Job Requirement:

• Knowledge on ITIL framework;
• Technical ability to provide 1st level network monitoring;
• Technical ability to provide basic fault finding and fault escalation;
• Good understanding of incident management activities;
• Good ability to follow and documented operational processes;
• Basic understanding of Ethernet, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, Routing (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP);
• Basic understanding of IOS and CatOS;
• Experience with ticket management and change request management systems;
• Experience with network monitoring / management tools/ analysis tools;
• Experience with liaising with carriers and vendors for faults; and
• Good communications and interpersonal skills.
• Day-to-day maintenance and backup.
• SLA Maintenance/ Management, monthly Uptime reports, bandwidth utilization reports & interface utilization/reporting of all the devices.
• Trouble shooting and debugging of Network and Application access issues.
• Incident management.
• Submission of periodical reports on the performance of the equipment’s and its review.
• SLA maintenance/management, daily, weekly, and quarterly interface utilization report, hardware report etc.
• Open for 24*7 Shift.

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech. / MCA with CCNA or equivalent certification

Desired Experience:

• Any Technical Graduate with hands on experience with networking, routing, switching is necessary with minimum 2+ years of experience.
• Network engineer with basic networking technology skills; Good understanding of cross platform technologies; and should be familiar with Cisco based technologies and products. (working hours 24x7, shift based)
