Job summary

Sb HR Consultancy Kolkata is seeking a dedicated L1 Network Support technician in India. The role focuses on strong networking concepts, VLAN management, and providing L1 troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center environments.

You will monitor alerts, coordinate with IT and ISP teams, handle change requests, and assist with device upgrades and runbooks. CCNA or equivalent certification is mandatory to apply.

Qualifications

• CCNA or equivalent networking certification is mandatory.
• Experience providing L1 support for LAN, WAN, Wireless and Data Center.
• Familiar with VLANs, change requests and ISP maintenance coordination.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and L1 troubleshooting.
• Provide L1 support for LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center environments.
• Handle network tickets and escalate to L2 when required.
• Monitor network alerts and coordinate with IT Monitoring, Network Teams, ISPs, and users.
• Perform VLAN assignment, change requests, and ISP maintenance coordination.
• Ensure devices are integrated with monitoring systems and alerts are functional.
• Maintain network knowledge base, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Support network device upgrades and patching as per lifecycle processes.
• Assist with network availability and performance reporting.
