Infosys is seeking a network engineer to ensure availability, performance, security and reliability of LAN, WAN and wireless networks supporting business operations.

The role requires hands-on Cisco networking experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a focus on maintaining stable IT environments in Pune, India. You will collaborate with IT teams to implement upgrades and security controls and support infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Requires 3 years in network administration, operations, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networking issues across the corporate environment.
• Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity to ensure business continuity.
• Implement and maintain routing and switching configurations per standards.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
• Resolve network incidents within defined SLAs.

Job Summary

The role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks that support business operations. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, hands‑on experience with Cisco networking technologies, and a passion for maintaining stable and secure IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless networks, and related network services.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues across the corporate environment.
• Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity services to ensure business continuity.
• Implement and maintain routing and switching configurations in accordance with organizational standards.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, outages, and service degradation within defined SLAs.
• Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and configuration backups.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, including Service Desk, Systems Administration, Security, and Cloud Infrastructure teams.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, network expansion activities, and technology refresh programs.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
