Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Network Engineer to join our enterprise infrastructure team in Chennai, India. You will design, implement and optimize complex LAN/WAN networks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on hands-on routing and switching, BGP/OSPF, VLAN security, and vendor coordination to ensure high availability and scalable network services. Strong problem solving and documentation skills are required to maintain topology diagrams and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise networking projects and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure projects.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
• Manage switching and routing environments across enterprise networks.
• Configure and maintain VLANs, port security, and network segmentation.
• Handle routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

Network Engineer - (CREQ261855)

• We are looking for an experienced IT Project Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise networking, especially in LAN and WAN environments.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing network infrastructure projects, configuring routing and switching environments, and supporting enterprise network operations across large-scale environments.
• The candidate will work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize network connectivity solutions.
