Job summary

Infosys is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN environments, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. The role focuses on performance, security, and reliability.

You will analyze capacity, troubleshoot connectivity issues, monitor networks with industry tools, and document configurations. Strong routing, switching, and Cisco IOS experience are essential, along with CCNA/CCNP preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, VLANs).
• Experience with LAN/WAN technologies and topologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Routing and Switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, STP, VLANs).
  • Experience with LAN/WAN technologies and topologies.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VPNs.
  • Understanding of network security principles and firewall configurations.
• Tools & Platforms:
  • Network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS or similar CLI environments.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Experience:

• 25 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
