Job summary

Om Logistics Supply Chain Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Network/Route Optimize Manager to design and optimize the logistics network, including hubs, spokes, lanes, and service routes, and to develop efficient route plans for mid-mile and last-mile operations.

The role focuses on evaluating capacity, reducing costs per trip and per kg, monitoring KPIs such as on-time delivery and vehicle utilization, and driving automation in route planning and network operations to support scalable growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize logistics network structure including hubs, spokes, lanes, and service routes.
• Evaluate network capacity requirements based on volume forecasts, growth plans, and service commitments.
• Identify opportunities for consolidation, route rationalization, and hub optimization.
• Develop efficient daily, weekly, and monthly route plans for mid-mile and last-mile operations.
• Optimize routes for distance, transit time, fuel efficiency, and vehicle utilization.
• Plan vehicle types and load configurations to maximize payload and reduce cost per kg.
• Analyze transportation costs and drive initiatives to reduce cost per trip, cost per km, and cost per kg.
• Monitor route performance KPIs such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, empty miles, and turnaround time.
• Support P&L improvement through network and route efficiency initiatives.
• Use route planning tools, GPS, TMS, and analytics platforms for network modeling and optimization.
• Analyze historical data, demand trends, and operational constraints to improve planning accuracy.
• Drive automation and digitization in route planning and network operations.
• Work closely with operations, vendor management, sales, and customer service teams to align network plans with business requirements.
• Coordinate with fleet, vendor, and franchise teams for route execution and adherence.
• Support new customer onboarding, lane launches, and service expansions from a network perspective.
• Identify process gaps and implement best practices in network and route planning.
• Prepare SOPs, dashboards, and MIS reports for management review.
• Lead network reviews and recommend strategic changes for scalability and efficiency.
