Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking an experienced Cloud Database Engineer to oversee mission-critical production systems with strong AWS RDS and Aurora expertise. You will manage provisioning, patching, upgrades, and DR readiness in an enterprise environment.

Key focus areas include performance tuning, capacity planning, cost optimization, and automation of database operations using scripting in Shell, Python, or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience as a Cloud Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or Platform Engineer supporting mission-critical production systems.
• Proven experience managing AWS-managed database platforms in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS RDS for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Experience with backups, PITR, and disaster recovery testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS RDS deployments and Aurora clusters for enterprise-scale apps.
• Handle provisioning, configuration, patching, and upgrades of database platforms.
• Implement and test backup, recovery, PITR, and DR strategies.
• Perform database performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Develop automation scripts for daily DB operations and monitoring.

Proven experience managing AWS-managed database platforms in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on expertise with:

• 1.AWS RDS for SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL administration
• 2.Amazon Aurora cluster management and operations
• 3.Database provisioning, configuration, patching, and upgrade management
• 4.Backup, recovery, point-in-time recovery (PITR), and disaster recovery testing
• 5.Multi-AZ deployments, read replicas, and high availability configurations
• 6.Database performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management
• 7.Capacity planning and storage optimization
• 8.CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and database monitoring solutions
• 9.Database encryption, IAM integration, access controls, and security best practices
