Job summary

Zensar is seeking a senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to support enterprise production systems and lead CI/CD/GitOps initiatives. The role focuses on building reusable self-service pipelines, enforcing governance, and advancing platform reliability.

You will collaborate with development teams while maintaining platform ownership boundaries and driving automation. Requirements include 8-10 years in DevOps/CI/CD, expert knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, and Kubernetes, plus experience

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in DevOps/Platform/CI/CD/Cloud roles.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD and GitOps platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, ArgoCD.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and artifact management.
• DevSecOps integrations including SAST, DAST, and container security.
• Experience maintaining runbooks, SOPs, dashboards, and docs.
• Experience supporting development teams while maintaining platform ownership boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and govern enterprise CI/CD and GitOps platform initiatives.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and release governance.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive automation and platform standardization.

Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD and GitOps platforms.

Strong Hands-on Expertise With

• GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and ArgoCD administration
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation for build, test, release, and deployment processes
• Reusable pipeline templates and shared platform components
• GitOps implementation and deployment standardization using ArgoCD
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes
• Artifact management platforms such as Nexus, Artifactory, or GitHub Packages
• DevSecOps integrations including SAST, DAST, Dependency Scanning, and Container Security Scanning
• Secrets management solutions such as Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault
• Observability integration with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms
• Runner, Agent, and Plugin administration across CI/CD platforms
• Release automation and deployment governance processes
• Experience troubleshooting pipeline failures, platform integrations, deployment issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Experience automating operational workflows using scripting and platform tooling.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD best practices, and platform reliability.
• Experience maintaining runbooks, SOPs, dashboards, and version-controlled documentation.
• Experience supporting development teams while maintaining platform ownership boundaries.

14+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Architect, or CI/CD Platform SME supporting large-scale enterprise environments.

Proven experience leading enterprise CI/CD, DevSecOps, and GitOps platform initiatives.

Expert-level Hands-on Expertise With

• GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and enterprise DevOps platform architecture
• Design, implementation, and governance of enterprise CI/CD and GitOps platforms
• Development of reusable self-service pipeline frameworks and platform standards
• Enterprise-scale GitOps operating models and deployment governance
• DevSecOps architecture including SAST, DAST, Container Security, Secrets Management, SBOM, and Compliance Controls
• Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks using Terraform, CloudFormation, and platform engineering best practices
• Kubernetes and cloud-native deployment architectures. Enterprise observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and operational dashboards. Platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization Runner, Agent, Plugin, and Platform Lifecycle Management Approval workflows, policy guardrails, compliance controls, and release governance Developer self-service enablement and platform standardization initiatives.
• Cloud platform integration across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments
  Deep expertise troubleshooting complex CI/CD, GitOps, pipeline, integration, authentication, and deployment issues.
• Experience leading major incidents, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
  

Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle, cloud architecture, security, networking, and distributed systems.

Experience defining platform roadmaps, operational standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.

Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving continuous improvement through automation and platform engineering.

Ability to provide strategic DevOps platform guidance while application development, code ownership, and application-specific releases remain with application teams.
