Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is seeking a Network Administrator L2/L3 with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our global network operations. The role involves configuring and troubleshooting advanced routing and switching, BGP/EIGRP implementations, VPNs (GRE/IPsec), NAT, and VXLAN/FEX ecosystems.

Strong English communication and team collaboration are essential for 24x7 support. You will work with Cisco routers, Nexus 9k/core switches, and perform cross-team coordination to maintain

Qualifications

• Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge on Routing.
• Experience with Cisco routers, Nexus switches, and Core Layer 3 Catalyst switches.
• Knowledge of Cisco ASR/ISR routers.
• Experience with Fabric Extender Technology (FEX), vPC and VXLAN.
• Understanding of DC Routing & Switching infrastructure.
• Knowledge of BGP & EIGRP routing protocols.
• Knowledge of GRE and IPsec VPN, NAT, and route-maps/prefix lists.
• Strong TCP/IP, and ability to work in 24x7 support environments.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot complex routing and switching in data center networks.
• Manage BGP/EIGRP configurations and route redistribution across devices.
• Maintain VPNs (GRE and IPsec) and NAT configurations.
• Implement VXLAN, FEX, and vPC architectures; ensure network stability.
• Collaborate with global teams and provide remote troubleshooting support.

Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge on Routing,

Configuration and troubleshooting experience in Cisco network devices (Routers, Nexus switches & Core Layer 3 catalyst switches)

Good Knowledge & troubleshooting experience in Cisco ASR & ISR routers

Good Knowledge & troubleshooting experience in Cisco Nexus 9k switches.

Configuration & troubleshooting knowledge in Fabric Extender Technology (FEX), virtual Port Channel (vPC), and Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN)

Good Knowledge in DC Routing & Switching infrastructure

Configuration & troubleshooting knowledge in BGP routing protocol (ASN, PBR, Route-reflectors, community, Tags & Attributes)

Configuration & troubleshooting knowledge in EIGRP routing protocol (load balancing, topology & Metrics)
