Network administrators
We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with Aruba and Fortinet wireless access points, switches, LAN/WAN infrastructure, network security, monitoring, and network maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Network Administration
- * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
- * Manage LAN, WAN, VLAN, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
- * Monitor network performance, availability, bandwidth, and connectivity.
- * Troubleshoot network outages, latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
- * Perform network configuration changes in accordance with change-management procedures.
- * Maintain network diagrams, IP address documentation, and configuration records.
Aruba Networking
- * Configure and manage Aruba switches and wireless access points.
- * Configure VLANs, trunk/access ports, LACP, STP, and related switching features.
- * Manage Aruba wireless infrastructure, SSIDs, authentication, and access policies.
- * Monitor AP health, client connectivity, coverage, and wireless performance.
- * Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, interference, and performance issues.
- * Perform firmware upgrades and configuration backups for Aruba devices.
Fortinet Networking
- * Configure and maintain Fortinet network and security infrastructure.
- * Administer Fortinet switches and wireless access points where deployed.
- * Configure VLANs, interfaces, routing, policies, and network connectivity.
- * Monitor network and security events.
- * Troubleshoot Fortinet AP, switching, and connectivity issues.
- * Coordinate with security teams for firewall and network-security requirements.
Switching & Routing
- * Configure and troubleshoot managed network switches.
- * Manage VLANs, trunking, access ports, STP/RSTP, LACP, and port security.
- * Perform basic routing configuration and troubleshooting.
- * Manage IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and network connectivity.
- * Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
- * Maintain network redundancy and high availability.
Wireless Network Administration
- * Deploy and maintain enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- * Configure corporate and guest SSIDs.
- * Manage authentication and access control.
- * Monitor wireless coverage, capacity, signal strength, and client performance.
- * Perform wireless troubleshooting and optimization.
- * Conduct site surveys and coordinate AP installation when required.
Network Maintenance
- * Perform regular preventive maintenance of network devices.
- * Maintain device configurations and configuration backups.
- * Perform firmware and software upgrades.* Monitor device health, CPU, memory, interfaces, and bandwidth utilization.
- * Replace faulty switches, APs, cables, SFPs, and other network components.
- * Maintain network asset inventory and documentation.
- * Coordinate with ISP and hardware/network vendors for issue resolution.
Data Centre Networking
- * Support network infrastructure within data-centre environments.
- * Maintain switch connectivity for servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and other infrastructure.
- * Coordinate with server, storage, security, and data-centre teams.
- * Assist with network implementation and infrastructure expansion.
- * Follow data-centre change-management and maintenance procedures.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- * Monitor network devices and respond to alerts.
- * Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents within agreed SLAs.
- * Perform root-cause analysis for recurring network problems.
- * Escalate complex issues to senior network engineers or vendors.
- * Maintain incident, change, and maintenance records.
- * Participate in on-call/24x7 support when required.
Required Technical Skills
- * Aruba: Aruba switches, Aruba APs, wireless administration.
- * Fortinet: Fortinet switching and wireless infrastructure.
- * Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and routing.
- * Switching concepts including STP/RSTP, LACP, trunking, and port security.
- * Enterprise Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting.
- * Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- * Basic understanding of firewalls and network security.
- * Structured cabling and physical network troubleshooting.
- * Good understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
