Job summary

Nxtwave Disruptive Technologies in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to plan, design, and maintain complex campus networks, including LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and secure remote access. You will configure Aruba/TP-Link infrastructure, manage switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls, and ensure robust network performance across locations.

Qualifications

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across offices, campuses, and locations.
  • Manage and monitor LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs, captive portals, and network security services.
  • Configure and maintain Aruba switches, routers/gateways, access points, and Aruba Central.
  • Configure and maintain TP-Link/Omada routers, managed switches, access points, and Omada Controller/OC300.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco switches and networking equipment.
  • Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, access ports, STP, LACP, routing, inter-VLAN routing, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
  • Design segmented networks for staff, students, guests, CCTV, servers, and other business requirements.
  • Administer Palo Alto and Sophos Firewalls, including security policies, NAT, web filtering, application control, traffic shaping, SD-WAN, and WAN failover.
  • Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site IPsec VPNs and secure remote connectivity.
  • Configure and manage captive portals for authentication and controlled network access.
  • Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, link quality, and device health.
  • Use Aruba Central and TP-Link Omada Controller for centralized monitoring, management, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, firewall, VPN, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, routing, switching, and IP addressing issues.
  • Manage enterprise Wi-Fi, including SSIDs, VLAN mapping, authentication, roaming, AP connectivity, coverage, and performance.
  • Manage and troubleshoot CCTV/IP cameras, NVRs, CCTV switches, and CCTV VLANs.
  • Monitor leased lines, broadband, RF links, and backup Internet connections.
  • Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal IT teams for outages, latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues.
  • Configure and troubleshoot WAN failover and load balancing.
  • Monitor firewall logs and network traffic for policy violations, abnormal activity, and security threats.
  • Support network security, hardening, and ISO 27001-related requirements.
  • Maintain network configuration backups, topology diagrams, IP details, VLAN information, switch-port mappings, firewall/VPN details, and device inventory.
  • Create and maintain SOPs and technical documentation for network installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Participate in network deployments, upgrades, migrations, and new-site implementation projects.
  • Provide network support during critical business events, examinations, live streaming, and high-priority activities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) and prepare reports for major network incidents.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers for incident resolution.
  • Support planned maintenance and critical network incidents outside regular working hours when required.
Skills Required
  • 23 years of hands-on experience in Network Administration, Network Engineering, or Network Infrastructure Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Aruba Infrastructure and Aruba Central.
  • Strong hands-on experience with TP-Link/Omada Infrastructure and Omada Controller/OC300.Hands-on experience with Cisco switches, Cisco IOS, VLANs, trunking, STP, routing, and switch-port troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Sophos Firewalls.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, subnetting, CIDR, VLANs, STP, LACP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, ICMP, NAT, routing, and inter-VLAN routing.
  • Knowledge of static routing and basic OSPF.
  • Experience with firewall policies, NAT, web filtering, application control, QoS/traffic shaping, SD-WAN, WAN failover, and load balancing.
  • Experience with site-to-site IPsec VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with captive portals and centralized network monitoring.
  • Strong enterprise Wi-Fi administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with CCTV/IP cameras, NVRs, and CCTV network infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience coordinating with ISPs, vendors, and internal IT teams.
  • Good understanding of network security, segmentation, and secure network design.
  • Ability to maintain network topology diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, CIS, and NIST security controls is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to support critical incidents, planned maintenance, and business-critical events beyond regular working hours.
