Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) is seeking an operating head for a client in Kolkata. You will own end-to-end programs across Accounting & Finance, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Financial Markets, and new launches, reporting to the Founder/CEO.

You will drive revenue and P&L, manage admissions targets, oversee academic ops through Program Heads, and build industry partnerships, placements, internships. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team and expand programs and centers.

• Proven P&L and admissions scaling
• Multi-functional team management and strong external communication

Salary range: Rs 2500000 - Rs 4000000 (ie INR 25 - 40 LPA)

Operating head, effectively taking over the founders day-to-day. Owns all programs end to end (Accounting & Finance, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Financial Markets, plus new launches). Reports to the Founder/CEO.

Owns:

• Revenue and P&L (budgets, fees, collections, costs)
• Admissions funnel and intake targets
• Academic ops through the Program Heads
• Industry partnerships, placements, internships
• Team leadership (hiring and reviewing Program Heads, ops and admissions)
• Expansion (new programs and centers)

Requirements: knowledge of how Indian institutions run (affiliations, academic calendars, exams, regulation), proven P&L and admissions scaling, multi-functional team management, strong external communication. Masters preferred (MBA or education management). Kolkata-based or willing to relocate.

Success measured on: enrollment and revenue vs targets, placement and internship rates, retention and student satisfaction, faculty stability, cost per program
