Job summary

SYSTRA invites applications for a N3 - Junior Engineer (Signalling) in Kochi Metro Project. The role requires a degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Communications Engineering with hands-on experience in signaling for metro projects.

You will review tender specs, coordinate with telecom and other subsystems, verify designs, and assist in testing and commissioning. Strong English communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Communications Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years relevant field experience for graduates; 1 year in Signalling for Metro/Railways.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and technical specs for CBTC signaling as part of tender prep.
• Interface with telecom, rolling stock, P. Way, civil, and traction power to implement CBTC signaling and telecom works.
• Review detailed signaling designs submitted by contractors.
• Verify completed work and prepare payment requests to contractors.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and review of O&M manuals; coordinate with Authority and contractors.

SYSTRA is GENERAL CONSULTANT (GC) FOR PHASE-II CORRIDOR FROM JLN STADIUM TO INFOPARK VIA KAKKANAD OF KOCHI METRO RAIL PROJECT.

We are seeking applications for the role N3 - Junior Engineer (Signalling) in Kochi Metro Project.

Missions/Main Duties

• Review of tender documents, detailed technical specifications for CBTC signaling as a part of tender preparation.
• Interfacing with other sub-systems such as telecommunications, rolling stock, P. Way, Civil, Traction Power supply to implement CBTC signaling & Telecomworks.
• Review of detailed designs of Signaling submitted by the contractors.
• Verify completed work and prepare request for payment to contractors.
• Assist in testing and commissioning and review of O&M manual, coordinating with the Authority and contractors on day-to-day work in installation testing and commissioning of Signaling systems and interfaces.

Profile/Skills

• Graduate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/ Computer/ Communication Engg. from a recognized institution.
• Minimum experience of 2 years in relevant field for Graduates and minimum 1 years experience should be in similar role in field of Signalling for Metro/Railways. Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field for Diploma and minimum 2 years experience should be in similar role in field of Signalling for Metro/Railways
• Experience in MS Office, AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
