Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a Junior Engineer (Civil) Grade 1 for the Kochi Metro Project in India. The role focuses on assisting in construction supervision, monitoring, and ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards.

The candidate will prepare manuals for construction, administration, operation and maintenance and serve as a bridge between the Team Leader and field units. With a background in Civil Engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience, especially in elevated metro rail projects,

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution.
• Minimum experience of 5 years for graduates and 7 years for diploma holders, with at least 2 years in elevated metro rail/transport infrastructure projects.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization, respecting differences.
• Ability to solve problems in an integrated project delivery environment with best practices.
• Self-motivated with outstanding leadership and the ability to influence without authority.

We are seeking applications for the role Junior Engineer (Civil) Grade 1 in Kochi Metro Project.

Missions/Main Duties

• Assist in Construction Supervision & Monitoring
• Manage Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and social aspects
• Prepare Manuals for construction, administration, operation, and maintenance of Metro
• Shall maintain close liaison and act as a bridge between Team Leader and field units.

Profile/Skills

• Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engg. from a reputed Institution
• Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field for Graduates & 7 years for Diploma holders out of which minimum 2 years experience should be in the desired role in elevated metro rail projects / transportation infrastructure bridge projects.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
