Job summary

SYSTRA India, with a rich history in rail and metro projects since 1957, is seeking a Junior Engineer (Civil) for the Kochi Metro Project. The role focuses on managing quality assurance, field inspections, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure timely, safe construction progress.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree or diploma with 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum experience of 5 years for Graduates & 7 years for Diploma holders, with at least 2 years in elevated metro rail projects/transportation infrastructure.
• Experience in MS Office and AutoCAD is MUST.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization and lead with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead inspection and quality assurance of the project construction program.
• Conduct field visits and inspections of ongoing construction, including station construction under varied conditions.
• Interface management with stakeholders and submit periodic reports to relevant authorities.

SYSTRA is the GENERAL CONSULTANT (GC) FOR PHASE-II CORRIDOR FROM JLN STADIUM TO INFOPARK VIA KAKKANAD OF KOCHI METRO RAIL PROJECT.

Currently we are seeking applications for the position of Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Kochi Metro Project.

Missions/Main Duties

• Manage and lead the efforts of the inspection and quality assurance of the project related to the construction program of the project.
• Make field visits and inspections of ongoing construction including station construction under various field conditions,
• Interface management with various stakeholders and submit periodic reports to relevant authorities.

Profile/Skills

• Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field for Graduates & 7 years for Diploma holders, out of which minimum 2 years experience should be in the desired role \in elevated metro rail projects / transportation infrastructure bridge projects.
• Experience inMS Office, AutoCAD is MUST
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
