Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking a seasoned Hardware Design Engineer in Bengaluru to drive embedded product development from requirements to testing. You will select components to meet cost, performance and regulatory needs, and develop MCU/MPU/FPGA designs with peripherals like DDR, eMMC, ADC/DAC, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and sensors.

Expect close collaboration with firmware, FPGA, mechanical and simulation teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a hardware design engineer.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Active involvement in all phases of an embedded product development (Requirement Analysis to Testing).
• Expert in selecting components meeting cost, functionality, performance, regulatory and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop micro-controller, micro-processor and FPGA based designs with interfaces/peripherals such as DDR, eMMC, ADC, DAC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sensors etc.
• Work on high-speed digital, analog and mixed-signal design.
• Hands-on schematic design using Altium/OrCAD or similar tools; perform detailed PCB layout reviews with Allegro/Altium.
• Conduct board bring-up tests, functional tests, ESS tests and pre-compliance EMI/EMC/Safety tests at third party labs.
• Collaborate closely with firmware, FPGA, mechanical and simulation teams; strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Perform board bring-up tests, functional tests, ESS tests and pre-compliance screening tests for EMI/EMC/Safety etc at third party labs
• Excellent problem-solving/ debugging skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working closely with Firmware, FPGA, Mechanical and Simulation teams
