Job summary

Nextiva in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer III – Mobile with strong React Native, TypeScript, and mobile architecture expertise. This onsite role requires 5–8 years of software development and at least 3 years in React Native, delivering scalable cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android.

You will design reusable components, lead features from design to release, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and leadership to drive high-quality experiences.

Location: This is an onsite role based at Nextiva’s Bengaluruoffice (Wilshire III by MFAR, 492,Hobli,RHB Colony, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048). Working together onsite strengthens how weoperate, enabling faster decisions, clearer communication, and stronger execution, so you can make a greater impact and move work forward with speed and clarity.

In-Office Expectation: This role is expected to work onsite four days per week, withthepotential toincreasetofive days per week,as required by the business. Specific scheduling and flexibility will be guided by your leader to support both team collaboration and individual productivity.

We are hiring a Software Engineer III – Mobile with strong expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and mobile application architecture.

What We Need:

• 5–8 years of software development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on React Native experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and cross-platform mobile development.
• Experience designing scalable mobile architecture and reusable component libraries.
• Proven experience building, releasing, and maintaining applications for iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, state management, offline support, push notifications, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with mobile performance optimization, security, automated testing, monitoring, and production debugging.
• Good understanding of Xcode, Android Studio, native build systems, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to lead complex features from technical design through production release.
• Experience conducting code reviews, defining engineering standards, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools responsibly.
• Strong communication, technical decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

• Working knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, or native-module development.
• Experience with Expo, Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, analytics, and feature flags.
• Experience with React Native New Architecture, Fabric, or TurboModules.
• Experience integrating AI, LLM, voice, recommendation, or generative features into mobile applications.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or supporting mobile-platform modernization.

Candidate Profile:

We need a senior, hands-on mobile engineer who can independently lead complex projects, make architecture decisions, improve application performance and reliability, mentor team members, and work closely with product, design, backend, QA, and engineering leadership.
