Job summary

Nextiva, Bengaluru onsite, seeks a senior mobile engineer to lead React Native projects, architect scalable mobile solutions, and mentor peers. You will collaborate with product, design, backend and QA to deliver robust iOS and Android apps using JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/GraphQL, and modern CI/CD practices.

Four days per week onsite with potential to adjust based on business needs; experience with AI coding tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on React Native experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and cross-platform mobile development.
• Experience designing scalable mobile architecture and reusable component libraries.
• Proven experience building, releasing, and maintaining applications for iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, state management, offline support, push notifications, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with mobile performance optimization, security, automated testing, monitoring, and production debugging.
• Good understanding of Xcode, Android Studio, native build systems, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to lead complex features from technical design through production release.
• Experience conducting code reviews, defining engineering standards, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools responsibly.

This is an onsite role based at Nextiva's Bengaluru office (Wilshire III by MFAR, 492, Hobli, RHB Colony, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048). In-Office Expectation:

This role is expected to work onsite four days per week, with the potential to increase to five days per week, as required by the business. Specific scheduling and flexibility will be guided by your leader to support both team collaboration and individual productivity.

What We Need:

• 5-8 years of software development experience.

• Experience with React Native New Architecture, Fabric, or TurboModules.
• Experience integrating AI, LLM, voice, recommendation, or generative features into mobile applications.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or supporting mobile-platform modernization.

We need a senior, hands-on mobile engineer who can independently lead complex projects, make architecture decisions, improve application performance and reliability, mentor team members, and work closely with product, design, backend, QA, and engineering leadership.
