Job summary

Recrew AI in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead a ground-up rebuilding of its consumer panel mobile app using React Native. You will own architecture decisions, UX discussions, CI/CD pipelines, and app store releases for millions of panelists across Asia-Pacific.

Hybrid role based at Embassy Tech Village, Bellandur, Bangalore. You will drive modern mobile architectures, bridge native modules, ensure quality with automated tests, and shape performance across iOS and Android.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Deep production experience with React Native, with the ability to drop into native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) for bridge modules.
• Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns - MVVM, MVP, and Declarative UI - applied in production mobile applications.
• Proven experience building mobile applications from scratch on modern stacks, with the ability to analyze legacy codebases to ensure parity.
• Experience building automated testing suites covering Unit, Integration, and E2E tests.
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD for mobile, including Fastlane and app signing.

Responsibilities

• Build a new mobile app from scratch using React Native with a scalable architecture.
• Take ownership of technology selection and architectural decisions.
• Lead the full lifecycle from UX discussions to production rollout.
• Own CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and App Store/Play Store submissions.

Position Overview

The company is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the ground-up rebuild of its consumer panel mobile app using React Native. The role spans the full product lifecycle - from architecture decisions and UX discussions to CI/CD pipelines and App Store releases - while ensuring a seamless transition from the existing legacy app for millions of panelists across Asia-Pacific.

Role & Responsibilities

• Build a new mobile app from scratch on a modern, scalable architecture using React Native, while analyzing the existing legacy app to ensure functional parity for current users
• Take full ownership of technology selection, critical architectural decisions, and driving continuous improvement of the codebase
• Lead the full lifecycle from UX discussions and technical design to implementation, testing, and production rollout
• Own the mobile CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and manage the entire app store submission process for both iOS and Android
• Ensure crash-free session rate ≥ 99.5% and ANR within industry norms through robust observability and crash reporting using Sentry and Firebase

Must Have Criteria

• 5-9 years of professional experience in mobile application development
• Deep production experience with React Native, with the ability to drop into native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) for bridge modules, background tasks, and OS-level performance issues
• Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns - MVVM, MVP, and Declarative UI - applied in production mobile applications
• Proven experience building mobile applications from scratch on modern stacks, with the ability to analyze and interpret legacy codebases to ensure functional parity
• Experience building automated testing suites covering Unit, Integration, and E2E tests to ensure production-ready code quality
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD for mobile, including Fastlane, code signing, provisioning profile management, and managing automated releases to the App Store and Play Store

Nice to Have

• Experience working in Agile development environments with iterative sprint-based delivery
• Experience collaborating on UX design and applying user-centered design principles in mobile product development
• Proven track record of optimizing mobile performance - app size, startup time, rendering speed, and memory footprint
• Hands-on experience with mobile accessibility standards (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android) and internationalization (i18n/l10n)
• Strong working knowledge of design systems and component libraries applied in a React Native codebase
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
