Job description

Responsibilities

• Hardware Architecture: Designing and leading the development of entire hardware systems, including choosing microcontrollers, sensors, and connectivity modules.
• Component Selection: Evaluating and selecting components for performance, cost, power efficiency, and scalability (e.g., power management, RF modules).
• Circuit Design & Layout: Creating schematics, managing Bill of Materials (BOM), and ensuring efficient PCB layouts.
• Prototyping & Testing: Developing prototypes, debugging, and conducting rigorous testing for reliability, performance, and durability.
• Integration: Collaborating with firmware and software teams to ensure hardware and software work together seamlessly.
• Standards & Documentation: Defining design standards, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance.

Team Leadership

• Team Leadership: Train staff, manage workers, and delegate tasks.

Reporting

• Reporting: Monitor metrics, analyse data, and report on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication
• 7+ years of experience as an embedded hardware engineer.
• Deep understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and wireless protocols (BLE, LoRa, Cellular).
• Proficiency in circuit design, signal processing, PCB design tools, and debugging techniques.
• Proven track record of developing and launching IoT Hardware Products
• Experience with communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART) and power management.
