Job summary

Techmezine is seeking an Electronics & Hardware Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of electronic hardware, from concept to mass production support. You will collaborate with firmware, mechanical, RF, EMC, validation, and manufacturing teams.

You will design power management circuits, microcontroller-based systems, and interfaces while ensuring signal integrity, thermal performance, and EMI/EMC compliance, with hands-on debugging and prototyping.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of electronics hardware design and product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Hands-on schematic capture and PCB design with Altium/Cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end hardware development from architecture to mass production support.
  • Design power management circuits and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Ensure PCB designs are manufacturing-friendly with SI/thermal considerations.
  • Perform board bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support prototypes, NPI, production testing, and supplier coordination.
  • Prepare design calculations, test reports, and validation results.

About the Role:

We are looking for an Electronics & Hardware Design Engineer to become a part of our hardware engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of electronic hardware, starting from concept and architecture to schematic design, PCB layout, bring‑up, validation, and mass production support. You will work closely with firmware, mechanical, RF, EMC, validation, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. This position is best suited for engineers who enjoy hands‑on hardware development and like taking complete ownership of the products they build.

What You'll Own:
  • Handle end-to-end hardware development, including architecture planning, schematic design, component selection, PCB layout guidance, prototyping, board bring‑up, validation, and production support.
  • Design power management circuits, microcontroller-based systems, and communication interfaces.
  • Develop reliable, cost‑effective, and manufacturing‑friendly PCB designs while considering signal integrity, thermal performance, EMI/EMC compliance, DFM, and DFT requirements.
  • Perform board bring‑up, hardware debugging, and root cause analysis using standard laboratory equipment.
  • Support manufacturing activities such as prototype builds, NPI, production test development, supplier coordination, and field failure analysis.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including design calculations, test reports, validation results, and participate in design reviews.
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electronics hardware design and product development.
  • Strong knowledge of both analog and digital circuit design.
  • Hands‑on experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer or Cadence.
  • Experience in taking at least one product from the prototype stage through validation into manufacturing.
  • Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Experience with embedded hardware and communication interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, JTAG, and SDIO.
  • Good understanding of PCB stack‑up, signal integrity, thermal design, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT principles.
  • Experience designing power supplies, including buck, boost, LDO, flyback, and other DC‑DC converter topologies.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with ARM‑based processors, PMICs, or high‑speed memory interfaces such as DDR/LPDDR.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies including Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, GNSS, or RF systems.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for validation and test automation.
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC compliance standards such as FCC, CE, and UL.
  • Background in industries like robotics, consumer electronics, automotive/EV, IoT, energy, or medical devices.
  • Experience with rigid‑flex or flexible PCB design.
