Job summary

Sirveen Control Systems is seeking a Hardware Architect to take ownership of designing, developing, and testing electronic hardware systems. You will bridge R&D concepts and high-volume manufacturing, focusing on robust platforms and standardized design processes to ensure reliable production.

Qualifications

The Role: We are looking for a Hardware Architect. You will take complete ownership of designing, developing, and testing electronic hardware systems. Your role will heavily involve theoretical analysis and practical implementation, acting as the technical bridge between R&D concept and high-yield manufacturing. If you are passionate about building robust platforms, standardizing design processes, and seeing your designs reliably manufactured on the production floor, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Architecture & Design:
• Act as the technical architect for new embedded, electronic, and power electronic products.
• Identification and selection of Embedded system Architecture for new Products with industry standard benchmarks.
• Product documentation using Product Development Life Cycle Process (PDLC).
• Components selection/Evaluation, Circuit simulation, Develop schematics and layouts for digital and mixed-signal circuits.
• Tentative Product BOM preparation with cost effective solutions.
• Create printed circuit boards using industry-standard CAD tools, ensuring optimal PCB routing and manufacturability.
• Identify and integrate Microcontrollers, sensors, and ICs, keeping global supply chain constraints and component obsolescence in mind.

• Prototyping & Validation:
• Build and evaluate prototypes to validate designs quickly and cost-effectively.
• Conduct comprehensive functional, reliability, and compliance testing across varying environmental conditions.

• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Production Handover:
• Ensure designs are optimized for high-yield, consistent manufacturing (addressing our goal of high-volume readiness).
• Partner with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to seamlessly transition products from R&D to the production floor, troubleshooting any initial throughput or quality issues.

• R&D Process Improvement & Platform creation:
• Spearhead the creation of reusable hardware "platforms" and modular circuits to drastically reduce the design cycle for future R&D projects.

• Maintain meticulous design records, test reports, and compliance documentation to establish modern engineering standards within the company.

Required Skills & Mindset:

• Core Hardware Expertise:Strong knowledge of Digital/Analog electronics and embedded systems (Micro controller/Microprocessor-Intel/ARM architecture), coupled with hands-on experience in Power Electronics.
• Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in EDA tools such as Altium, Cadence, etc..
• Circuit Simulation: Hands on experience with Simulation tools like PSPICE/TINA/MULTISIM/MATLAB
• Hardware tools: Exposure to use oscilloscopes, Function generators, logic analyser, Spectrum/network analyser.
• Advanced Design Knowledge: Experience with Signal Integrity(SI/Power Integrity (PI) and high-speed design with Pre-layout topology simulation and Post layout analysis.
• System-Level Understanding: Familiarity with communication protocols/Interface (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet-MII/RMII/, USB,I2S,ADC, DAC, Audio Codec,NAND, NOR, DRAM,PCI etc.) and a strong working knowledge of embedded software architecture (to effectively collaborate with the firmware team).
• Wireless Interface:Familiarity to interface with 2G/3G/4G/5G(SIMCOM/QUECTEL/TELIT etc), BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa modules.
• Power circuits:Hand on experience in SMPS, DC-DC converters-Buck/Boost/Buck- Boost/FLY back topology etc, linear regulators designs.
• Compliance: Knowledge of compliance standards such as EMI/EMC and safety regulations.
• The Builder Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the patience and leadership to work alongside legacy teams and champion modern, efficient ways of working.
