Job summary

Bonito Designs in Bengaluru is seeking a results-oriented MIS & Reporting professional to own end-to-end reporting, dashboards, and data-driven insights. You will consolidate data, build Excel-based reports, and support decision-making with timely analyses.

The role requires 1–3 years in MIS or reporting, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables/Charts, data validation), and exposure to BI tools like Metabase. MBA/PGDM preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly MIS reports covering sales, business performance, productivity, quality, and other key operational metrics.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and update MIS trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates.
• Monitor business performance against defined targets and highlight key deviations.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all reports.
• Publish regular performance reports to relevant stakeholders within defined timelines.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyse sales and operational data to identify trends, gaps, anomalies, and performance issues.
• Prepare variance analysis comparing actual performance against targets, budgets, or previous periods.
• Generate meaningful insights from data to support business and operational decision-making.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) at centre, team, and employee levels.
• Support management with ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.

Excel & Dashboard Management

• Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, trackers, dashboards, and analytical models.
• Use advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF functions, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, and data validation.
• Clean, format, and organize large datasets for reporting and analysis.
• Automate repetitive reporting activities wherever possible using Excel.
• Maintain data structures and templates to improve reporting efficiency.

Data Quality & Process Management

• Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of business data.
• Identify discrepancies in source data and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation of reporting formats, data sources, and MIS processes.
• Ensure adherence to reporting timelines and defined SOPs.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve and simplify MIS processes.

Business Coordination

• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other relevant teams to collect and validate data.
• Follow up with stakeholders for missing or inaccurate information.
• Support business teams with relevant data and reports for reviews and decision-making.
• Prepare periodic management reports and presentations highlighting key performance trends and observations.

Metabase / BI Reporting Added Advantage

• Experience with Metabase or similar BI/reporting tools will be an added advantage.
• Ability to create basic dashboards, reports, filters, and data visualizations.
• Understanding of SQL and working with databases will be a plus.
• Support the team in migrating manual Excel-based reports to automated dashboards where required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in MIS, reporting, business analysis, sales operations, or a similar role.
