Job summary

Ensono in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead deployment, monitoring, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure, including IBM DataPower and IBM MQ.

You will design automation scripts (Perl/Python/Bash) and work with Chef/Puppet, AWS, Azure, and GCP to deliver resilient, scalable solutions. Strong communication and SLA-driven delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with resources, priorities and timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Results oriented team player able to meet SLAs and deadlines.
• Experience with system configuration automation (Scripting with Perl/Python/Bash or DevOps tools).

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure and GCP for designing, provisioning, monitoring and managing environments.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Full understanding of virtual servers and operating systems, storage, and data protection.
• Design and document procedures for OS patches, code and firmware updates to systems infrastructure.
• Participate in design meetings for Client disaster recovery planning.
• Develop guidelines for systems management including process and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor and tune systems to identify bottlenecks and optimize capacity.
• Prepare periodic reports related to capacity and utilization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hands on experience with IBM DataPower or IBM MQ with at least 6 years of implementation, support, and upgrade.
• Experience in other IBM products would be beneficial.
• Full knowledge to install and configure high availability compute solutions supporting business critical functions.
• Full understanding of virtual servers and operating systems, block, file, and object storage, and data protection.
• Understands how the whole picture aligns to overall Ensono strategy.
• Understanding of multiple scripting languages to develop solutions for automation and reporting.
• Work in a team to design computer system configurations.
• Design and document procedures to apply operating systems patches, code and firmware updates to systems infrastructure.
• Participate in primary design meetings for Client disaster recovery planning.
• Research system vulnerabilities and provide documentation for future use implementing corrective actions as required.
• Develop guidelines and procedures for systems management including process and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor and tune systems to identify and eliminate issues and potential bottlenecks.
• Prepare periodic reports related to capacity and utilization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to include resources, priorities, and timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Results oriented team player who will work towards meeting team commitments.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting SLAs and production deadlines.
• Experience with system configuration automation (Scripting with Perl/Python/Bash or DevOps tools like Chef/Puppet).
• Ability to mentor technical operations staff in appropriate technologies, as needed.
• Understanding of the competitive landscape from both business and technical perspective is a plus.
• AWS, Azure and GCP knowledge in designing, provisioning, monitoring and managing the environment is a big plus.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile frameworks is a plus.
