Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking a Microsoft 365 Consultant to deliver complex engagements spanning collaboration, productivity, security, and governance. The role works with IT and business stakeholders, supports roll-outs, and ensures alignment with the Microsoft 365 roadmap from Chennai hub.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of enterprise Microsoft 365 experience, hands-on SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD, and strong Power Platform skills, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.

Job Description – Microsoft 365 Consultant

Role Purpose: The Microsoft 365 Senior Consultant delivers and steers complex Microsoft 365 engagements across collaboration, productivity, security, and governance. The role provides expert consulting to IT and business stakeholders, supports roll‑outs and service evolution aligned with the Microsoft 365 roadmap, and resolves complex technical issues. Within the matrix organization, the role works under global functional leadership while coordinating local administrative topics through the Chennai hub line management.

Key Responsibilities

• Consulting, Governance & Adoption:
  • Advise and implement best practices for Microsoft 365 adoption, governance, and security.
  • Stay up to date with the Microsoft 365 roadmap and support roll‑out of updates and new capabilities.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for IT and business units; develop reusable guidance materials.
• Delivery & Technical Leadership:
  • Lead or steer delivery workstreams for Microsoft 365 improvements and initiatives under global prioritization.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to consultants; review and improve solution quality and documentation.
  • Promote automation and operational excellence (e.g., PowerShell scripting, standard operating procedures).
• Operations & Problem Solving:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform, Entra ID, etc).
  • Support ITSM‑aligned operations (incident/problem/change), ensuring changes and releases are executed safely and documented.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Consultant or similar role (typically 5+ years).
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD and related services.
• Power Platform experience (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) is a must.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, compliance, and security within Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS‑100, MS‑101, or equivalent) are desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills in English; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong consulting and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business impact.
• Structured, analytical problem‑solving; comfortable driving issues to closure.
• Ability to lead by influence in a matrix organization and align stakeholders on standards and governance.
• High ownership and service mindset in a global support and delivery context.

Experience & Qualifications

• University degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 services in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering workshops, guidance, and technical troubleshooting for end‑to‑end scenarios.
