Job summary

Superchem Nutri Formulations in Sonipat, Haryana, seeks an experienced Microbiologist for our beverage manufacturing plant. The role focuses on microbiological testing of raw materials, water, in-process samples and finished beverages, plus environmental monitoring and hygiene oversight.

You will work with GMP, HACCP and food safety standards, perform aseptic techniques, investigations into OOS events, and coordinate with Production, QA and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Microbiologist for our beverage manufacturing plant in Sonipat, Haryana. The candidate will be responsible for microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, water quality testing, hygiene monitoring and microbiological control of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in Food & Beverage / Bottling industries and a strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety and microbiological quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, water, in-process samples and finished beverage products.
• Conduct microbiological analysis of Water Quality.
• Manage and execute environmental monitoring programs for production and processing areas.
• Perform swab testing of equipment, production lines, surfaces and personnel hygiene areas.
• Carry out appropriate aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Monitor microbiological quality trends and identify potential contamination risks.
• Investigate microbiological failures, deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and support implementation of CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, SOPs and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Maintain microbiology laboratory records, test reports, logbooks and other quality documentation.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance and verification of microbiology laboratory equipment.
• Support internal audits, customer audits and regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC and Engineering teams to resolve microbiological and hygiene-related issues.
• Ensure timely completion of all testing and release-related activities as per the quality plan.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage Microbiology
• Hands-on experience in Microbiological Testing
• Knowledge of TPC/TVC, Yeast & Mould, Coliform, E. coli and microbial limit testing
• Hands-on experience in Media Preparation and Sterilization
• Strong understanding of Aseptic Techniques
• Experience in Swab Testing and Hygiene Monitoring
• Knowledge of GMP, GHP, HACCP and Food Safety
• Knowledge of OOS, Deviation, RCA and CAPA
• Good laboratory documentation and reporting skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to work in plant/production and shift operations
