Job summary

Angel One seeks a Lead Compliance to ensure adherence to IFSCA and other applicable laws from its Ahmedabad Gift City office. You will act as Principal Officer for AML/CFT, KYC, and sanctions compliance, and oversee policy development, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.

The role requires mastering regulatory frameworks, training teams, and maintaining thorough documentation while coordinating with authorities and senior management for ongoing compliance improvements.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in finance, law, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance or actuarial science from a university.
• Well versed with IRDAI, NBFC, CKYC and KRA Compliance.
• CFA or FRM from GARP or equivalent educational

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, circulars, guidelines, and directions issued by the IFSCA and other applicable laws.
• Act as the designated Principal Officer for AML, CFT, KYC, sanctions compliance, and reporting obligations.
• Develop, implement, and periodically review compliance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
• Monitor business activities through compliance and surveillance systems to identify regulatory breaches and other compliance risks.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews, risk assessments, and testing to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit all regulatory filings, compliance reports, certifications, and responses to regulatory inspections.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with IFSCA and other regulatory authorities for inspections and audits.
• Provide regular compliance updates to senior management and the Board.
• Organize compliance and AML/CFT training programs to promote regulatory awareness.
• Maintain complete records of compliance monitoring, surveillance activities and investigations.

Job Title: Lead Compliance

Location: Ahmedabad, Gift City

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, circulars, guidelines, and directions issued by the International Financial Services Centres Authority and other applicable laws.


• Act as the designated Principal Officer for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Know Your Customer (KYC), sanctions compliance, and reporting obligations.


• Develop, implement, and periodically review compliance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks in line with regulatory requirements, IFSCA, SEZ, India INX.


• Monitor business activities through compliance and surveillance systems to identify regulatory breaches, suspicious transactions, market abuse, and other compliance risks.


• Conduct periodic compliance reviews, risk assessments, and testing to ensure adherence to internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. IFSCA, SEZ, India INX.


• Prepare and submit all regulatory filings, compliance reports, certifications, and responses to regulatory inspections within prescribed timelines.


• Serve as the primary point of contact with IFSCA and other regulatory authorities for inspections, audits, regulatory correspondence, and compliance matters.


• Provide regular compliance updates to senior management and the Board, highlighting key regulatory developments, compliance risks, and corrective actions.


• Organize compliance and AML/CFT training programs to promote regulatory awareness and strengthen the organization's compliance culture.


• Maintain complete and accurate records of compliance monitoring, surveillance activities, regulatory communications, investigations, and remedial actions, ensuring timely resolution of all compliance observations.

Who you are:

• A professional qualification or post-graduate degree or post graduate diploma (minimum one year in duration) in finance, law, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance or actuarial science from a university Well versed with IRDAI, NBFC, CKYC and KRA Compliance.


• CFA or a FRM from Global Association of Risk Professionals or any other relevant educational
