Position Summary
The MES System Administrator (MES SA) will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment within Hyundai WIA manufacturing operations. The role requires close coordination with production, SAP, infrastructure, database, network, and vendor teams to ensure stable system operation, production continuity, and timely resolution of MES-related issues.
Key Skills Required
- Strong working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience in MES administration and support within manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of automotive production processes and shop-floor operations.
- Knowledge of Windows Server administration and system monitoring.
- Basic understanding of databases (MS SQL Server / Oracle) and query troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of MES interfaces and integration with SAP ERP systems.
- Experience in user access management, system configuration, and transaction monitoring.
- Ability to analyze system logs and troubleshoot application issues.
- Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional support.
- Strong problem-solving and incident management capabilities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MES applications and related production systems.
- Monitor MES system health, interfaces, and production transactions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Manage MES user accounts, roles, and authorization requests.
- Coordinate with production teams to support manufacturing operations and resolve system issues.
- Analyze and troubleshoot MES application incidents, system errors, and interface failures.
- Coordinate with SAP, server, database, network, and vendor teams for issue resolution.
- Monitor production data integrity and ensure accurate transaction processing.
- Support MES configuration, testing, deployment, and upgrade activities.
- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and support records.
- Perform routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and system performance monitoring.
- Support disaster recovery testing and backup verification activities to MES environments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, IT procedures, and information security requirements.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP PP/MM integration with MES systems.
- Experience supporting production lines, shop-floor systems, and manufacturing interfaces.
- Exposure to MES implementation, enhancement, or migration projects.
- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, production reporting, and operational dashboards.
