Job summary

Tata Electronics requires an experienced MES Leader to manage, optimize, and scale MES applications across our electronics manufacturing operations in India. You will bridge Production, Quality, Engineering, and IT to drive reliability and digital manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities include leading MES implementation and upgrades, ensuring uptime, coordinating system integrations with SAP, PLM, WMS and QMS, and guiding project delivery from BRD through deployment while mentoring

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of MES experience in manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years in a leadership or team management role.
• Experience in discrete & repetitive manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, or industrial manufacturing environments (EMS).
• Strong knowledge of APIs, machine integration APIs, Web Services, and system interfaces.

Responsibilities : Responsible for managing, supporting, enhancing, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications across manufacturing operations.

The role acts as the bridge between Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure seamless MES operations, system reliability, process improvements, and digital manufacturing initiatives.

MES Application Management

• Lead implementation, configuration, and support of MES applications.
• Machine utilization, OEE, cycle time analysis, tool life management, and downtime tracking
• Ensure MES systems operate efficiently with maximum uptime.
• Manage MES upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
• Monitor application performance and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain MES master data, workflows, and business rules.

Production & Operations Support

• Provide proactive support for MES-related incidents.
• Troubleshoot production issues impacting manufacturing execution.
• Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Support manufacturing schedules and production reporting requirements.

System Integration

• Manage integrations between MES and:
• Machine Integration (PLCs and PC based)
• SAP
• PLM Systems
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Drive MES standardization across production lines and plants.
• Implement best practices for manufacturing execution and traceability.

Project Management

• Gather business requirements from stakeholders.
• Prepare functional specifications and solution designs.
• Manage MES implementation projects from planning through deployment.
• Ensure project delivery as per BRD within scope, schedule, and budget.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Manage change control and validation activities where required.
• Mentor MES engineers, analysts, and support personnel.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and user training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business leaders.
• Manage vendor relationships and service providers.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field Computer Science / Information Technology /Electronics & Communication

Experience

• 6 to 10 years of experience in MES applications and manufacturing systems, CNC Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• 3+ years in a leadership or team management role.
• Experience in discrete & repetitive manufacturing, automotive, electronics, semiconductor, or industrial manufacturing environments (EMS).

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with MES application, Knowledge of APIs, Machine Integration API method, Web Services, and System Interfaces, IIoT,AI / Machine Learning, CNC Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• SQL Server / Oracle Database knowledge.
• Knowledge of C#, Java, Python (Preferred)
