Job summary

Zavya is seeking a merchandiser in Gurugram to tighten sampling timelines, drive weight optimisation, and onboard new vendors while ensuring new launches land on schedule. This is a follow-up-heavy role for someone who closes loops without being chased.

The position is full-time and office-based in Sector 58, Gurugram, with travel as needed. 2–5 years of experience in jewellery, accessories, or fashion is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in merchandising, sampling, buying, vendor coordination, or production follow-up.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets for trackers and reporting.
• Negotiation and vendor-handling skills.
• Knowledge of costing, weight management, and production feasibility.
• Jewellery, accessories, fashion, lifestyle, or export house background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own sampling end to end — from design brief to approved sample.
• Track sample timelines, corrections, approvals, costing, weight, and feasibility in a live tracker.
• Drive weight reduction without compromising design, durability, or perceived value.
• Identify and onboard new vendors across silver, components, stones, and finishing.
• Negotiate MOQ, lead time, costing, and quality commitments with vendors.
• Travel for vendor visits, production checks, sampling follow-ups, and market research.
