Job summary

Shree Diamond seeks an experienced Order & Requirement Management professional to coordinate design, production, and delivery of diamond jewellery. You will translate customer requirements into actionable specifications and track orders from development to dispatch.

The role requires strong communication, CAD understanding, and Excel/MIS reporting skills to ensure on-time delivery and cost control across Design, Production, Diamond, Metal, Quality and Dispatch teams.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of relevant experience in diamond/jewellery merchandising or manufacturing.
• Experience in B2B/export jewellery merchandising is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of diamond jewellery and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements, product specifications and delivery timelines.

Job description

A. Order & Requirement Management

• Understand customer requirements, product specifications and delivery timelines.
• Plan for the upcoming orders and maintain order/product requirements.
• Ensure accurate communication of design, metal, diamond and product specifications to concerned departments.
• Track every order from development to final dispatch.

B. Design & Product Development

• Coordinate with Design and CAD teams for new designs and modifications.
• Review designs for manufacturability, costing and commercial feasibility.
• Coordinate sample development, corrections and customer approvals.
• Maintain records of approved designs, samples and specifications.
• Monitor market trends and customer preferences to support new collection development.

C. Production Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Production, CAD, Casting, Metal, Diamond Issue, Setting, Polishing and Quality teams.
• Follow up on production status and identify delays at an early stage.
• Resolve inter-departmental issues affecting delivery.
• Ensure the final product matches the approved design and specifications.
• Upcoming delivery as per order planning.

D. Diamond & Metal Coordination

• Coordinate diamond requirements based on product specifications.
• Ensure correct diamond quality, size, shape, colour and clarity requirements are communicated.
• Coordinate metal specifications, weight requirements and product costing.
• Ensure any deviation in diamond/metal specifications is highlighted and approved.

E. Costing & Commercial Coordination

• Prepare and verify product costing wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with costing, purchase and production teams for accurate estimates.
• Monitor product cost against approved costing.
• Highlight major cost variations to management.

F. Delivery & Follow-Up

• Maintain daily/weekly order tracking reports.
• Ensure orders are completed within committed TAT.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and Quality for final order closure.
• Escalate critical delays and production bottlenecks to the HOD.

G. MIS & Reporting

Prepare regular reports covering:

• Order status
• Production status
• Pending orders
• Sample development status
• Delivery TAT
• Delayed orders
• Product-wise performance
• Customer requirements and approvals
• Costing variations

3. Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of diamond jewellery and jewellery manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of diamonds, gold/precious metals and jewellery specifications.
• Good understanding of jewellery designs and CAD drawings.
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Ability to prepare MIS and management reports.
• Strong time-management and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Design, CAD, Production, Diamond, Metal, Quality and Dispatch departments.
• Commercial understanding of jewellery costing is preferred.
• ERP/FMS knowledge will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• 4 - 10 years of relevant experience in diamond/jewellery merchandising or jewellery manufacturing.
• Candidates with experience in diamond jewellery manufacturing will be preferred.
• Experience in B2B/export jewellery merchandising will be an added advantage.
