Job summary

Mayank Exports is a Jodhpur-based manufacturer and exporter of furniture and handicrafts in wood, metal, and ceramic. You will own buyer orders from inquiry to shipment, acting as the main link between international buyers and our production, sampling, and QC teams to ensure orders are right, on time, and profitable.

We seek a detail-oriented merchandiser with 1–3 years of export experience in furniture or home décor, strong English, costings know-how, and ERP/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• English proficiency for international communications.
• Understanding of costing, sampling, T&A, and order-to-shipment process.
• Knowledge of materials (wood, metal, ceramic) and finishes is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel; ERP experience is advantageous.
• Organised and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple orders.
• Graduate in any field; business/international trade/design preferred.
• 1–3 years of export merchandising experience in furniture/home décor/handicrafts.

Responsibilities

• Handle buyer inquiries, prepare quotations, and coordinate product costing with production.
• Manage sampling: develop samples to buyer specs, track approvals, and revisions.
• Prepare and follow the Time & Action (T&A) calendar for every order.
• Coordinate with production, finishing, packing, and QC to keep orders on schedule.
• Ensure products meet buyer requirements for finish, dimensions, packaging, and labeling.
• Communicate with buyers via email and calls with order updates and issue resolution.
• Coordinate inspections, shipment bookings, and export documentation with logistics.
• Support trade fairs and buyer visits; help develop new product ranges.
• Maintain order records, track material/inventory needs, and report status.

The Role

We’re looking for a Merchandiser to own buyer orders from inquiry to shipment. You’ll be the main link between our international buyers and our production, sampling, and QC teams, making sure every order is right, on time, and profitable.

What You’ll Do

• Handle buyer inquiries, prepare quotations, and coordinate product costing with production
• Manage sampling: develop samples to buyer specs, track approvals, and handle revisions
• Prepare and follow the Time & Action (T&A) calendar for every order
• Coordinate with production, finishing, packing, and QC teams to keep orders on schedule
• Make sure products meet buyer requirements for finish, dimensions, packaging labelling, and compliance
• Communicate regularly with buyers by email and calls, with order updates, photos, and issue resolution
• Coordinate inspections, shipment bookings, and export documentation with logistics
• Support trade fairs and buyer visits, and help develop new product ranges based on market trends
• Maintain order records, track material and inventory needs, and report on order status

What We’re Looking For

• Strong written and spoken English for international buyer communication
• Understanding of costing, sampling, T&A, and the order-to-shipment process
• Basic knowledge of materials (wood, metal, ceramic) and finishes is a big plus
• Good with Excel and email; experience with an ERP is an advantage
• Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple orders at once
• Graduate in any field; a degree in Business, International Trade, or Design is preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in export merchandising, preferably in furniture, home décor, or handicrafts
