Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an MEP Plumbing Engineer based in Coimbatore. The role involves designing and reviewing plumbing systems for residential projects, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems, in coordination with overall MEP and building services design. The engineer will prepare drawings, specifications, and BOQs, check design compliance with relevant codes and standards, and support value engineering for cost-effective solutions. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with architects, structural and MEP teams, site engineers, and contractors, resolving design and installation issues, and conducting inspections to ensure quality, safety, and proper commissioning. The role also includes preparing technical reports, supporting project timelines, and ensuring that all plumbing services integrate seamlessly with mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Plumbing and Plumbing Design for residential and multi-storey building projects.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Water Supply systems, including distribution, storage, and pressure management.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and integration with Building Services.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant plumbing codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; a diploma with significant experience may also be considered.
• Proficiency in CAD software and exposure to BIM tools for MEP design and coordination is beneficial.
• Experience in residential or large-scale real estate projects, preferably within South India, is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site and in cross-functional teams.
