Job summary

Talent Finder in India seeks an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead and manage the complete design and engineering activities for large-scale commercial, Metro, Airport, Data Center, hospitality, healthcare and industrial projects. You will head the MEP design function and coordinate with architects, clients and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.

The ideal candidate has BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 12–18 years of MEP design experience, strong knowledge

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 12–18 years of experience in MEP design and engineering.
• Strong exposure to MEP contracting, EPC or construction companies.
• Experience handling large and complex building projects.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems.
• Excellent coordination, project management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete MEP design function across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems.
• Review and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting designs, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Ensure designs comply with NBC, IS, ASHRAE, NFPA and other applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, clients and internal project teams.
• Conduct design reviews, value engineering and optimization to improve project cost and efficiency.
• Resolve design and technical issues during execution and ensure timely release of drawings.
• Manage design schedules, consultants and a team of engineers/design professionals.
• Support estimation, tendering and project teams with technical inputs.

• Review and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting designs, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant NBC, IS, ASHRAE, NFPA and other applicable codes and standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 1218 years of experience in MEP design, Hvac Design and engineering.
• Strong exposure to reputed MEP contracting, EPC or construction companies.
• Experience in handling large and complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems.
• Excellent coordination, project management and stakeholder management skills.

• Candidates currently working in the Middle East/GCC region and looking to relocate back to India will be highly preferred.
• Exposure to international MEP design standards and execution practices in countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman or other GCC markets will be an added advantage.
