Job summary

Blackopal Group is seeking an experienced MEP Head Civil to lead civil engineering activities on complex MEP projects, ensuring timely execution, quality, safety and strict adherence to drawings, specifications and project requirements.

The candidate will coordinate with MEP, structural and architectural teams, review drawings, supervise civil works, drive schedules, monitoring, QA/QC and HSE compliance, and ensure proper handover with complete documentation.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 6–12 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.
• Strong experience coordinating civil works with MEP services and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; MS Project/Primavera knowledge an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil works associated with MEP projects from planning through execution and handover.
• Review and coordinate civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawings to identify clashes and constructability issues.
• Supervise civil works such as foundations, trenches, openings, pads, shafts, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with MEP, structural, architectural, PMC, consultant and contractor teams.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower, material planning and execution strategies.
• Ensure work is executed as per drawings, BOQ, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractors and contractors for productivity and adherence to timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure QA/QC and HSE compliance.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, RFIs and material submissions.
• Identify site issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Track project progress, prepare MIS reports and elevate delays to management.
• Support quantity verification, measurement, billing, variation assessment and cost control.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning support, snag rectification and final project handover.
• Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings and project close-out records.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil works associated with MEP projects, from planning through execution and handover.
• Review and coordinate civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawings to identify clashes and constructability issues.
• Supervise civil works such as equipment foundations, trenches, sleeves/openings, housekeeping pads, shafts, supports, utility areas, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with MEP, structural, architectural, PMC, consultant, and contractor teams.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower requirements, material planning, and execution strategies.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractors and contractors for productivity, workmanship, and adherence to timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of MS Project/Primavera is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
