Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an MEP Engineer for a hospital project in Mumbai. The role covers mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work within a building under construction, with emphasis on coordination across disciplines and timely approvals.

The candidate should have 6+ years of hospital project experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to drive designs through construction and handover. This is an on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with 6+ years in hospital projects.
• Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in initial design development of MEP Services and assess constructability of the design.
• Review legal and statutory compliance of design and follow up on obtaining approvals in time.
• Coordinate with all disciplines of Services Design.
• Ensure Contractors submit shop drawings and obtain approval.
• Ensure conditions of approvals are implemented at site during execution in a timely and sequential manner.
• Execute services work as per drawings and specifications in line with schedule and quality.
• Provide value addition in the selection of vendors and local material supply vendors.
• Responsible for installation, testing and commissioning of equipment related to Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing and Firefighting.
• Manage handovers, ensuring all works per vendor contracts and receipt of documents like manuals and test certificates.
• Initiate training to taking over team through Contractor, Consultants.
