Job summary

Sarvodayahospital is seeking a discharge summaries typist to prepare and type accurate documents using prescribed hospital formats. You will work from doctors’ handwritten notes, dictated content, or electronic records while ensuring correct patient demographics and treatment details.

The role requires attention to spelling, grammar, medical terminology, and strict confidentiality. You will coordinate with consultants, Medical Records, Nursing, Billing, and other departments to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Graduate or diploma in any relevant discipline.
• Knowledge of medical terminology will be preferred.

• Prepare and type accurate discharge summaries as per the prescribed hospital format.
• Type discharge summaries based on doctors’ handwritten notes, dictated content, or electronic records.
• Ensure correct patient demographics, diagnosis, procedures, investigations, treatment details, and discharge instructions.
• Coordinate with consultants/doctors for clarification and completion of discharge summaries.
• Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and proper documentation of patient records.
• Ensure timely completion of discharge summaries to support smooth patient discharge.
• Review documents for spelling, grammar, medical terminology, and formatting errors.
• Maintain proper records and follow hospital policies and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with the Medical Records Department, Nursing, Billing, and other concerned departments when required.
