Job summary

PYXIDIA TECHLAB in Mumbai, India seeks a senior IVR coder to assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring CMS compliance and optimized reimbursement. You will review documentation, resolve denials, and support audits, with 2–4 years IVR/radiology coding experience and CPC certification; Epic experience is highly preferred and exposure to 3M Encoder is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active CPC Certification is mandatory.
• 2–4 years of hands-on IVR/Radiology coding experience.
• In-depth understanding of vascular anatomy and interventional procedures.
• Experience with US healthcare billing systems and coding software; Epic preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Specialized coding: review physician notes, operative and imaging reports to assign accurate codes for interventional radiology procedures.
• Compliance & accuracy: adhere to CMS guidelines, NCCI edits and payer-specific requirements with high quality benchmarks.
• Documentation clarification: identify discrepancies and work with providers for data quality.
• Denial management: review and resolve coding-related claim denials to minimize revenue loss.
• System utilization: navigate EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, 3M Encoder) to abstract data and post charges.
• Audit support: participate in internal/external audits with documentation and rationale for coded charts.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IVR Coder to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes (ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS) to complex Interven onal Radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with US healthcare regula ons and opmizing reimbursement.

Key Responsibili es

• Specialized Coding: Review and analyze physician documenta on, opera ve reports, and imaging findings to assign accurate codes for vascular and non-vascular interven onal procedures.
• Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all coding strictly adheres to CMS guidelines, NCCI edits, and payer-specific requirements to maintain a high quality-accuracy benchmark, typically 95% or higher.
• Documenta on Clarifica on: Iden fy discrepancies or missing clinical informa on and collaborate with healthcare providers or clinical teams for documenta on improvement.
• Denial Management: Review and resolve coding-related claim denials and rejec ons to minimize revenue loss.
• System U liza on: Efficiently navigate EMR/EHR pla orms such as Epic or 3M Encoder to abstract clinical data and post charges.
• Audit Support: Par cipate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary documenta on and ra onale for coded charts.

Mandatory Qualifica ons & Skills

• Cer fica on: Ac ve CPC (Cer fied Professional Coder) is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience specifically in IVR/Radiology coding.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of vascular anatomy, catheter placements, and complex surgical procedures.
• So ware Proficiency: Experience with US Healthcare billing systems and coding so ware; proficiency in Epic is highly preferred.
