We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IVR Coder to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes (ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS) to complex Interven onal Radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with US healthcare regula ons and opmizing reimbursement.
Specialized Coding: Review and analyze physician documenta on, opera ve reports, and imaging findings to assign accurate codes for vascular and non-vascular interven onal procedures.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all coding strictly adheres to CMS guidelines, NCCI edits, and payer-specific requirements to maintain a high quality-accuracy benchmark, typically 95% or higher.
Documenta on Clarifica on: Iden fy discrepancies or missing clinical informa on and collaborate with healthcare providers or clinical teams for documenta on improvement.
Denial Management: Review and resolve coding-related claim denials and rejec ons to minimize revenue loss.
System U liza on: Efficiently navigate EMR/EHR pla orms such as Epic or 3M Encoder to abstract clinical data and post charges.
Audit Support: Par cipate in internal and external quality audits, providing necessary documenta on and ra onale for coded charts.
Cer fica on: Ac ve CPC (Cer fied Professional Coder) is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience specifically in IVR/Radiology coding.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of vascular anatomy, catheter placements, and complex surgical procedures.
So ware Proficiency: Experience with US Healthcare billing systems and coding so ware; proficiency in Epic is highly preferred.
