Qualifications

Responsibilities

Multi-Specialty Surgery Coder Healthcare / Medical Coding - 5+ Years - India

We are looking for an experienced Medical Coder with 3+ years of experience in multi-specialty surgery coding within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in outpatient surgery, IVR and General Surgery coding, with CPC/CPMA certification. Strong attention to detail, coding accuracy, compliance knowledge and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

1. Following all project SOPs, protocols and coding guidelines accurately.
2. Completing assigned audits while maintaining defined quality standards.
3. Achieving daily quality and productivity targets.
4. Maintaining productivity, clarification and other process-related logs accurately.
5. Identifying coding issues and escalating them to the Manager/TL for resolution.
6. Responding promptly to Manager/TL communications and clarification requirements.
7. Identifying process trends and supporting effective problem resolution.
8. Ensuring adherence to HIPAA, OIG and other applicable compliance requirements.

Requirements

1. Holding 3+ years of overall coding experience with strong exposure to multi-specialty surgery coding.
2. Having hands-on experience in outpatient surgery, IVR and General Surgery coding.
3. Possessing CPC or CPMA certification.
4. Holding a Life Science or Paramedical degree.
5. Demonstrating strong knowledge of medical coding processes, SOPs and quality standards.
6. Possessing good written and verbal communication skills.+
7. Demonstrating strong computer proficiency and attention to detail.
8. Having auditing and denial management experience will be an added advantage.
