Genpact is seeking a Management Trainee/Assistant Manager to oversee end-to-end Media Reconciliation operations across Broadcast, Digital, Print, Outdoor, and Direct Response media. You will lead vendor invoice reconciliation against media buys, manage the media buy lifecycle, and develop expertise in Media OTC processes.

You will collaborate with agencies and clients to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely financial closure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level accountants with finance focus and exposure to reconciliation
  • Experience in media finance or reconciliation is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

Job Description
  • Manage end-to-end Media Reconciliation operations across Broadcast, Digital, Print, Outdoor, and Direct Response media channels
  • Lead reconciliation of vendor invoices against approved media buys, actualized spend, contracts, insertion orders, and supporting documentation
  • Develop strong understanding of the Media Buy lifecycle, including buy creation, actualization, invoice receipt, reconciliation, clearance, and payment readiness within media systems
  • Build expertise in Media OTC processes, including Billing, Media Receivables, Revenue Reconciliation, Client Funding, Sequential Liability, and dispute resolution
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of both OTC and PTP processes and understand the interdependencies between media vendors, agencies, clients, reconciliations, billing, and payment operations
  • Manage invoice-to-buy matching activities and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies relating to rates, dates, spots, coding, classifications, make-goods, actualization variances, and contractual commitments
  • Drive resolution of aged reconciliation items, missing invoices, unmatched buys, open balances, RNOs, credits, debits, and vendor disputes to ensure financial integrity and timely closure
  • Frequent interaction with advertising agencies, media partners, and client stakeholders
  • Partner closely with all teams, Billing teams, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve complex reconciliation issues
  • Review and validate reconciliation outcomes to ensure accurate financial reporting, client billing alignment, and vendor settlement readiness
  • Understand and manage Sequential Liability processes, including agency-client-vendor relationships, funding requirements, client remittance dependencies, and media receivables impacts
  • Review open buys, actualized buys, uncleared invoices, discrepancy reports, vendor statements, aging reports, and reconciliation dashboards to drive timely issue resolution
  • Lead governance calls and operational reviews with internal and client stakeholders, providing updates on reconciliation status, risk areas, and improvement initiatives
  • Investigate discrepancies between media placements, purchase orders, agency submissions, and financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate directly with agencies and media partners to validate campaign spend, resolve billing inconsistencies, and support month-end reconciliation activities
  • Analyze complex media transaction data and provide variance explanations to operational and client teams
  • Ensure adherence to client SLAs, internal controls, audit requirements, SOX compliance, and operational governance standards
  • Support month-end and quarter-end financial close processes through timely completion of reconciliation activities and reporting deliverables
  • Manage team performance, productivity, quality, utilization, and knowledge management initiatives
  • Drive automation, process standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement opportunities across Media Finance processes
  • Participate in process transitions, stabilization programs, operating model enhancements, and transformation initiatives
  • Experience working in high-volume, deadline-driven environments with multiple client entities and agency relationships
  • Advanced analytical and reconciliation skills with a focus on issue resolution and root-cause identification
  • Proactively identify operational risks, control gaps, financial exposure, and client-impacting issues and implement mitigation plans
